As per tradition, the 24th edition of the congress brought together world-class researchers and clinicians to disseminate their knowledge and experience in cardiology focusing on the theme, “Recent advances in Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging”.
It has become extremely important to detect and treat cardiovascular disease at an early stage to prevent serious sequelae and chronic disease burden. Herein lies the major value of cardiac imaging.
The meeting had a very rich agenda involving all aspects of cardiovascular disease with special emphasis on clinical echocardiography. Various topics were discussed including state-of-the art echocardiography, clinical problem solving, pitfalls and recommendations, as well as emerging field on structural heart disease intervention. We managed critical balance and were able to include all topics of clinical interest related to adult echocardiography, vascular imaging, and congenital heart disease.
The scientific program covered every aspect of cardiovascular medicine and possibilities of non-invasive imaging for diagnostic and therapy. Participants had a unique opportunity to discuss the various aspects of cardiology, including recent advances, diagnosis, prognosis and various therapeutic aspects.
